Piggybacking to success

I love the wisdom embodied in this famous quote by Charlie Munger:

“I believe in the discipline of mastering the best that other people have ever figured out. I don’t believe in just sitting down and trying to dream it all up yourself. Nobody’s that smart.”

Figuring things out for yourself is a great ability to develop. But  as well.

I’ve talked about the “information sherpas” I rely on.

Charlie Munger is at the top of my list — as one of the biggest influences in how I think about things.

So is Shane Parrish of the Farnam St. blog (whose weekly email newsletter is incredible).

Of course, Ernesto Regales was the person who made the biggest impact on my life, even no one outside of the people in my small high school class ever encountered him.

Anyway…

What about you? Who are some folks whose wisdom you’ve relied on to up your game?

I’d love to know, so I might piggyback on their wisdom as well.

Shoot me an email and let me know.
