Your new legal assistant
Lawyers are discovering that AI can be their best legal assistant. One lawyer recently wrote on LinkedIn:
“At our firm, we use AI for nearly everything.”
He gave examples such as these:
- It helps new attorneys draft documents in minutes instead of hours
- It eliminates the “blank screen problem” when starting complex documents
- It fast-tracks learning so junior lawyers can now produce work at a 2-3 year experience level within months
These amazing results are similar to what lawyers in my AI workshop report.
Mind-blowing results
“Using AI to prepare an affidavit for an expert — man, just so quick. The more you use it, the more mind-blowing it is.” — Joe Prieto
“Has helped me zero in on the most important provisions; it has provided suggestion I may have missed; and it helps keep me focused.” David A.
“The more I use it, it’s actually scary how good I’m getting with it… I couldn’t imagine not using it now.” — Brandon Siegal.
“I had a five day trial and I wouldn’t have survived it but for AI. It gave me a cheat sheet for my evidentiary objections, and helped me create my request for judicial notice.” — Kate R.
“I am amazed and intrigued by this new world of AI. As a semi-retired lawyer, I am fired up about using it and enthusiastic about the practice of law again.” — Jonathan H.
“I tried the voice version of ChatGPT on my phone—totally blew me away. It already feels like I’ve got a virtual teammate.” — Richard Serpe
Key details about the Workshop:
- New participants go through a short onboarding course to become proficient with AI and to become prepared for our Zoom workshops.
- We meet by Zoom twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays
- The meetings use a hands-on, practical, “get stuff done” approach
- Attendees share their best practices, insights, and failures, which helps guide everyone’s learning
- The meetings are recorded, transcribed, and summarized using AI
- The initial focus is on using AI (a few members use Claude.ai)
- We also discuss relevant and related AI tools like Perplexity, Google’s NotebookLM, and Gemini
- No long-term commitment: participation is month-to-month. Stay as long as you want, and leave whenever you feel like you’ve learned enough.
- The workshop is ongoing because the development of AI tools is constant, fast-paced, and never-ending.
- Participation cost is $179/month (there are many other benefits you’ll learn about after you apply)

Here’s what lawyers are starting to realize…
AI beats hiring people
You already know this:
You can’t do everything yourself.
But hiring help?
It’s costly. Time-consuming. And usually more work than it’s worth.
Inside the AI Lab, you’ll learn how to train AI to be your most reliable team member.
And when you get it right?
AI becomes faster, cheaper, and more consistent than 99% of human hires.
Compare: People vs. AI
Here’s the key
The key to success is in how you train AI to be your teammate. If you don’t know how to train it, AI won’t help you much.
That’s what the A.I. Workshop is for.
So you can learn step-by-step, week by week.
Just like this lawyer…
“This workshop has been a great experience. Just following along with the sessions and experimenting on my own has helped me build some very useful tools.
The AI workshop keeps me motivated and focused, even when life gets busy. I’m more enthusiastic about learning now than I’ve been in years.” — John Zenir

Common Questions
What happens after I sign up?
You’ll get a welcome message and an invite to schedule a 1:1 Zoom call with Ernie so he can give you specific recommendations on how to get the most out of the course. You’ll also be given access to an onboarding course with 20 short lessons to get you up to speed quickly with using AI in your law practice.
How much time will it take?
The onboarding course will take about an hour at most to complete. Then you’ll be ready to participate in the weekly Zoom sessions, and those require (at most):
Just one hour per week.
The live Zoom sessions are hands-on: you’ll be learning practical skills during the call, which you’ll be able to apply immediately in your law practice. You’ll also hear other lawyers discussing what works best for them, and what didn’t work as well as expected.
If you can’t attend a live session you’ll have access to the video recording, transcript and AI-generated summary so that you can get up to speed in the least amount of time and with the least amount of effort.
Can others in my firm participate?
Sure, no problem. In fact, it makes sense if you want others to understand the power of AI and buy into the adoption in your firm.
If you need more than one user account for whatever reason, then you’ll have to pay for each additional account, obviously. 😉
What if I don’t use AI?
You can still join. Here’s why:
-
The Lab is structured around everyone learning with the same AI tools. That allows us to build shared skills, speak a common language, and troubleshoot together.
-
The tools are similar in many ways (they’re often powered by the same underlying models), but they behave differently in key areas like memory, custom instructions, and file handling.
-
What you learn in the Lab will translate to other tools like Claude or Co-Pilot—but I can’t guarantee how smooth that translation will be, and I won’t have time to help you bridge those gaps during sessions.
What if I’m not tech-savvy?
No problem. We’ll start with the basics and build up.
You’ll get guided help during sessions, and you’ll benefit from hearing others ask the same questions you might have. Everyone is in the same boat—this isn’t about technical expertise, it’s about learning practical habits.
Am I too old to learn this stuff?
No. Age isn’t a barrier to learning AI.
What matters is curiosity and willingness to experiment. Many of the most insightful users are seasoned professionals who bring years of expertise to the table—and this tool helps them get more done with less effort. Think of it less like “learning to code” and more like “learning how to ask better questions to a smart assistant.”
Is it useful for lawyers who don’t do litigation?
Yes—absolutely. The workshop is not specific to litigators or any particular practice area. It’s designed to help lawyers across all disciplines—transactional, advisory, compliance, estate planning, and more—learn how to use ChatGPT and other general-purpose AI tools to streamline their work and think more creatively about automation.
The focus is on learning how to use AI effectively as a versatile assistant, no matter what kind of legal work you do. Whether it’s drafting, summarizing, brainstorming, task planning, or automating small-but-repetitive processes, AI can help you do it faster and with less friction.
And because the workshop is grounded in real examples from working lawyers, you’ll learn from others facing similar challenges—regardless of whether they’re in court or not.
Is this only for legal work, or does it apply more broadly?
Both.
The focus is on lawyers, but the skills you build apply to anything—writing, research, planning, learning, even personal productivity. Legal tools that claim to be “AI-powered” are often just wrappers around the same tech we’ll be learning to use directly—so you’ll be better prepared to evaluate and use those tools too.
What happens during the sessions?
You’ll learn how to:
- Fine-tune your Chatbot setup for maximum benefit across the board
- Prompt Chatbot more effectively (i.e. ask better questions)
- Get personalized guidance on how to use AI in ways that suit you.
- Discover new ways that AI can help you do legal work with minimum friction
- Compare AI tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and NotebookLM for different tasks
Each session has a specific focus, and most of the value comes from practicing live, seeing examples, and discussing how to apply what you’ve learned.
Is it worth learning AI if I’m only practicing law for a few more years?
Yes, absolutely.
This isn’t about future-proofing 10 years from now—it’s about making your practice easier and more effective right now. AI can help you write faster, think more clearly, save time, and make better decisions with less friction.
You’ll get a big return on your time investment within a few weeks.
