So here’s a shocker for me. A place called New Orleans Hamburger & Seafood, which has several locations in Metairie, apparently has Wi-Fi at all of its locations. And what’s even more surprising, is that they advertise it on their website. I notice that they tout that their use of 802.11b is the result of their partnership with a company called Broadband IP, which is the same company that supplies the free Wi-Fi in my building. I’m guessing that Broadband IP is finding places willing to let them deploy Wi-Fi and thereby showcase their expertise.
