I used to think that science was a dispassionate quest for truth, unencumbered by mystical beliefs or misinformed do-gooders. But then I grew up.
I am fascinated by the promise of biotech and things like stem-cell research. And I’m fascinated by the promise, albeit one that won’t deliver for many years to come, of nanotechnology. Speaking of which, Larry Lessig has a great article on the politics of nanotechnology research.
