So, that’s one thing to feel good about. Still, apparently a lot of people out there are worried about me, and some have offered me a place of refuge if the storm comes here.
That’s really heartwarming and I appreciate the concern very much, but I’m the last person that anyone should be worried about. What about the poor people who were in the Superdome and came to Houston and were just starting to feel safe? Those are the people we should worry about. They must feel like the are living in story from the Old Testament.

If those isobars prove correct this will be a very strong storm and hopefully the evacuations will start soon!
Tuesday, Sept 20. Latest 12z GFS shows a major hurricane, Rita, making landfall sw of Houston, afternoon this saturday. Looks like cat 4 from the number of isobars on the mpa. Start evacuating those without transportation now!
