No, not really. But then I wasn’t really too concerned about Katrina until the last minute. I’m pretty sure that if the Hurricane Rita comes to Houston there won’t be catastrophic flooding. So, that’s one thing to feel good about. Still, apparently a lot of people out there are worried about me, and some have offered me a place of refuge if the storm comes here.
That’s really heartwarming and I appreciate the concern very much, but I’m the last person that anyone should be worried about. What about the poor people who were in the Superdome and came to Houston and were just starting to feel safe? Those are the people we should worry about. They must feel like the are living in story from the Old Testament.
