Finding good information in a crisis is important, especially since the media is ratings-driven to focus on anything likely to induce or heighten panic levels (I’m not saying that some people shouldn’t worry —e.g. the 40% of sub-intelligent folks who didn’t evacuated from Galveston). Tom Kirkendall’s weblog Houston’s Clear Thinkers will be a site worth checking as Hurricane Ike makes its impact on Houston. Tom is a lawyer, and knows how to write. More importantly, he always has thoughtful observations about things. I wish Tom and his fellow neighbors well.
