Great movies about oil

By August 3, 2006current affairs

I enjoyed the movie Syriana the other night, which heightened my admiration for George Clooney.  The movie strives to make us contemplate the unseen cost of producing and distributing oil.  But there are some grass roots movies that are addressing the same topic, albeit with lower production values: e.g. Robert Newman‘s History of Oil.  (I’m not saying I agree with the propositions made in the movie, but I admire the resourcefulness and cleverness of the producer).  We’re going to see a lot more online video like this.  I’ve said that before, haven’t I?
