A couple of Chris’ friends have emailed me to ask about him. He and Melody rode out the storm at their house in Slidell which apparently didn’t sustain too much damage. He was able to protect his music equipment and plans to return to his home soon. You can reach him on his cellphone 985-788-1737. He doesn’t have Internet access right now so he can’t check his emails.

SURVIVORS NOTED AND HOME FOR SALE IN OZONE WOODS WITH MINOR DAMAGE – Ronald and Darlene Rudiger, Marjorie Rudiger (formerly Bock) and John Muller (owner of CorrectTax), Joy and Walter Seymour, Vittoria and David Merry, Ronald Rudiger Jr and family are all ok. All homes are ok with exception of Joy and Walter who had 4 feet of water and had to crawl out of their window. They live off of Live Oak Lane on the northern side of Thompson Road. The western part of Ozone Woods off of Thompson Road was not that badly damaged/not much flooding – some had no flooding. Anyone looking to rent or buy a home in this area should contact my mother, Marjorie Rudiger at 504-577-6594 or John Muller at 504-494-7911. Only a few inches of water occurred, which has already receded. The house is available to purchase or rent and is currently listed with Century 21 for $130,000. My mother is looking for someone to help install new flooring and provide the home as shelter if necessary for the installer. That person can also buy it after it is fixed. It was for sale before the storm hit and is available. You can also call me (Marjorie George the daughter) at 727-410-5239 (cell). This home had minor damage according to my mother and the minor damage is insured. HOMES ARE SOLD OUT IN LAFAYETTE AND BATON ROUGE!!!!! IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON STAYING IN SLIDELL YOU MAY NOT WANT TO PASS THIS OPPORTUNITY UP! MY MOTHER NEEDS TO SELL THE HOME AS SHE HAS RETIRED AND NEEDS TO PAY OFF HER OTHER HOME IN MISSISSIPPI. IT HAS 3 BEDROOMS, 1 AND A HALF BATHS, A LARGE SUNROOM WITH GLASS AND A FIREPLACE.
