Brangelina move to New Orleans

By January 17, 2007Uncategorized

Apparently, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are moving to New Orleans and plan to bring their kids here.  Obviously this is related to the movie that he’s filming here, but if they wind up staying here that would be help keep attention focused on the recovery (or lack thereof).  If they want a real challenge that’s sure to garner attention then they should put their kids in the public school system.

I saw Angelina and two kids crossing the street in front of my office about a month ago. No body guards, no entourage, no nothing. I knew it was her when I saw a 5 year old asian kid with a mohawk and checked imdb.com and saw Brad Pitt was filming the Curious Case of Benjamin Button next to the WWII museum (almost typed D-Day in by habit). Good for them, and as a survivor of 100% public education in the fine city of New Orleans, it’s hard to get lucky enough to get into the good schools and as Lakeview doesn’t exist anymore as we knew it, Hynes isn’t there for the elementary age kids. Unless Hynes re-opened, if so, go Huskies!

  • And how could we afford to provide the security? Not all attention is good attention. I don’t think the Examiner or the Star really cares about education.

Insider info: they’re not going to.
